Meeting-Tomah The October organization meeting for the new Good Sam Chapter, Cranberry Country Cruisers will be held October 15th, at the Hearty Platter Restaurant banquet room, Kwik Trip - North, in Tomah, WI at 6:00 pm. Charter Officers are Randi (Bonnie) Owen - President, Cheryl(Keith) Keene - Vice President and Marshall (Ann) Kiel - Secretary/Treasurer. Bonnie Owen will be the Reporter. Our other Charter members are John and Jenny Johnson and Patsy & Crystal Wagner. Anyone interested in becoming a member of this new Chapter should come to the meeting. We will still be collecting food for the food pantries in our Chapter at each meeting and we’ll save empty aluminum cans for the Boys and Girls Club in Tomah, pop tops for the Ronald McDonald House, and Moola Milk Bottle Tops for the Boys & Girls Club in Tomah. WEBSITE UPDATE Schedule of Events Featured Recipe - Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan. Mix sugar and butter together in a medium mixing bowl until contents are blended. Add banana, milk and eggs, mixing well. Add dry ingredients mixing just until moist. Stir in nuts and sweetened dried cranberries. Spread batter evenly in a loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes our clean. Remove from pan and cool. Makes 1 loaf. The CRANBERRY COUNTRY CRUISERS Review Charter Meeting Dues for the new Chapter will be $15.00 for the Chapter and $5.00 for the State for a total of $20.00 because we are small and just getting started, this might change after we get a few more members. Now that we’ve received notification that we are an approved Chapter, we need to get our dues in as soon as possible, so they can be sent into the State Treasurer by December 1st. If you have already paid your $5.00 dues to the State in another Chapter, you would only pay $15.00 to our Chapter. Send your money to Marshall Kiel, P.O. Box 344, Tomah, WI 54660 or bring it to the October 15th meeting. The Chapter will be getting back to the basics of camping and focus more on camping then eating. We will not have a planned fish fry, if you want to go out for fish (or anything else), have fun, but it won’t be set up that everyone has to go and campgrounds won’t be dependent on there being a place to go either. There will be no planned breakfast, if you want to share your coffee with us around the campfire, come on over, but breakfast will be your responsibility. The Saturday evening meal will be a get together, but not so everyone has to spend all day cooking. We may have a pot of chili cooked over the campfire, or hamburgers, hot dogs and pudgy pies, but nothing that makes you have to spend all day cooking. We’ll try to have games available if anyone wants to play them, etc
