Please let Cheryl Keene or Bonnie Owen know by December 1st if you plan to attend and which of the two dinners you will be ordering, so we can give the legion a heads up on how many to expect and what they will need to prepare. Anyone interested in becoming a member of this new Chapter should come to the meeting. It’s still basically under construction, but the address is http://www.wigoodsam.org/cranberrycountrycruisers. Check it out on occasion and see how it’s progressing. Top each cheesecake with a spoonful of pie filling, or garnish as desired. Makes 12 cheesecakes. Review of November Organizational Meeting We all enjoyed a delicious Brunch Buffet that had everything you could imagine on it including omelets made to order and prime rib along with several other breakfast items. The October minutes were read by Bonnie Owen, and approved by all with one change concerning Dogs for the Deaf collection of $1 which would not be split, but would all go to the Dogs for the Deaf. The Treasurer’s Report was also given by Bonnie Owen in the absence of Marshall Kiel. Our club money is $126.00 + $6.00 in our charity account for a total of $132.00. A motion to approve and place the report on file for future audit was made by Cheryl Keene and second by Jim De Voe and approved by all. We discussed some of our charities again and Bonnie introduced another fund raiser that we will be doing through the Jumbo. It has the potential of earning well over $3,000 if we sell everything. It’s hard to explain here, but we will have it at each of our meetings, so come and find out how it works. We decided to collect the Moola Milk Bottle Caps for the Animal Shelter as they don’t have a steady income and as long as we were supporting the Boys & Girls Club in other ways. We are checking into doing some bell ringing for the Salvation Army. When Cheryl has more details, she will be calling around for volunteers. Remember to bring your gifts next month to be donated to the Boys & Girls Club Award Program. There is no need to wrap them, as long as they aren’t Christmas presents. We had a little discussion on some of the ideas we have for the Samboree and the Jumbo this year, but said we would discuss in detail at a later meeting. Birthday and anniversary wishes were extended. Next meeting will be the Christmas Party at the Sparta American Legion. We would like to see as many of you as possible, but understand if you can’t make it. Happy Holidays. Jim made a motion to adjourn, Cheryl second it, approved. 2006 Camping Schedule Correspondence -Cheryl Keene has our new sign made up and it can be used either indoors or outdoors, so she had it along at this meeting. -We had a spot on the Community Calendar about our meeting. It’s on B94.5 radio station and it was printed in the Something Local newspaper for November Guests and New Members: -James & Luella De Voe, Tomah, WI If you have friends that you think would be interested in joining our Chapter, invite them along with you so they can get to know us. Even next month, even though it’s our Christmas party, we would love to have them as guests. What a better time of the year to make new friends.
