The Jack Pine Travelers Chapter will celebrate our 35th Anniversary in 2012. George and Dorothy Pierce and Don and MaryAnn Strack are the only members left of the original charter members. We meet once a month all year long. In December we have a Christmas Party with a gift exchange at a local restaurant. From November through April we meet for a potluck at 1:00 p.m. at Mauston City Hall. A meeting, projects or fellowship follow the potluck.  May through October we camp at different locations from Friday through Sunday.  Friday night we go for a fish fry.  Saturday morning the hosts for the weekend have a breakfast.  Saturday night we have a potluck “fit for a king.”  Sunday noon we have a shipwreck lunch (leftovers from Saturday night.)  Friday and Saturday nights we have a campfire, play cards, games and just enjoy each others company.        
     Our chapter donates each month to the local food pantries and collect for Dogs For The Deaf.  The Jack Pine Travelers were Top Dog for 2011.  Every other year we have a garage sale and every year we have a Brat Sale and all the proceeds go to Dogs For The Deaf.  We also donate to homeless shelters, Lend A Hand, collect tabs for Ronald McDonald House and Grateful Hearts.  The club also does road clean up three times a year.  The Jack Pine Travelers are here to help our community when needed. If you have any questions contact us at 608-847-5564 or email us at judiuhe@gmail.com.
